In 2001, clothing designer Carol Anderson began wondering how to better serve women by giving them the focus and guidance they desired instead of feeling deflated by endless browsing. She had a devoted following of women across the country and wanted to provide full, unedited collections directly to the women she designed for, to completely change the shopping game.

At the same time, management consultant Kimberly Inskeep saw a growing need to help women find a more flexible career amidst the demands of life. As Carol and Kimberly talked, they asked ten like-minded friends to brainstorm with them and quietly developed what became the cabi Fashion Experience.

By bringing uniquely styled clothing to a home setting, women received an opportunity to hear about the hottest trends alongside close friends. Trained cabi Stylists transform the question of “What do I wear?”, into an occasion filled with boldness, confidence, and even fun.

From 12 founding women to thousands of cabi Stylists today, it’s official: our women have changed the retail game. cabi’s living legacy is not only the lives transformed in living rooms across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., but also women’s lives around the globe. The Heart of cabi Foundation is dedicated to serving and empowering women in need, providing entrepreneurial opportunities for women in developing countries.
