transitional style: springing into fall

August 15, 2019

What if we told you that you didn’t need to box away your spring and summer clothing for the colder months? Would you believe us? Well, instead of taking our word for it, we brought in some style experts to convince you that you can still get good use out of the Spring 2019 Collection in the fall and winter.

We’re partnering with Jenna and Lisa of Savvy Sassy Moms to help us brainstorm some transitional outfit ideas by pairing the Fall 2019 Collection back to pieces you already own. Jenna is the mother of a 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter and is an early childhood educator. Lisa is also an educator and the mother of three children over the age of 15. Together, they’ve built the ultimate online destination for “mom-tent”—mom-related content to help keep busy moms up-to-date on all things fashion and fun!

These two expert season-mixers have put together three outfits each and included a few extra savvy tips on how to style them. Take a look at their outfits below to learn how to style your Spring ’19 pieces with the new Collection, and be sure to check out their full site for year-round tips!

We wear a black trouser on repeat all year long. Sizing and fit are everything. Once you have this basic in your closet, you’re ready for any occasion. Details are everything when it comes to trousers—the buttons at the bottom of the Evening Trouser make it easy to show off your shoes.

We’ve been wearing cabi for years and love how season after season, the patterns and styles coordinate back to one another. We love how when we shop cabi, we’re shopping to continue growing our wardrobe instead of buying one-off pieces.

We haven’t taken our white jeans off since we got them. Worn with a tank top in the summer and a blouse in the fall, white jeans look good with everything. We’ve paired our white denim from last season with the beautiful Mosaic Blouse for the fall.

Featured Items: Dakota Jacket, Mosaic Blouse, High Skinny

The jumpsuit can be worn casually, to the office, and as eveningwear in spring, summer, and fall! By adding a layer or two, you’re ready for anything. The simple B-Side Cardigan is perfect for the office, and the Josephine Coat adds a luxe look for an evening on the town.

Whether you’re wearing the Chance Wide Leg in navy or black, you‘re always comfortable! This bottom takes us everywhere we need to go and can be dressed up or down with an open-toe wedge or a chunky heel. Adding details to this trouser is so much fun with a chain belt, a wide belt, or even an animal print belt. Add any blouse to this bottom to look long, lean, and stunning!
