how to dress for your best features

September 20, 2018

Is there anything more eye-catching than confidence? Confidence radiates outwards and lets everyone know you’re in control of your choices and your destiny. And on those days when you’re brimming with confidence, you can feel people gravitate toward you. An easy way to capture that confident feeling? Highlight a feature that makes you feel confident. Ever stood in front of a mirror and thought, “I love the way my legs look”? Or perhaps you like to accentuate your waist or your neckline? Whatever that one feature is you’re always proud of, that’s the one you’ll want to highlight. Below are three different ways to highlight a feature (and our favorite fall pieces to get the look you’re after!). Get ready, get confident, get dressed!

all about that waist

Show off with high-waisted pieces that nip in at the midsection and work overtime to define your hips and bust. Think high-rise jeans and skinnies and pencil skirts. And always have a fabulous belt on hand for cinching it together!

go bust!

Shimmy into something with lovely neckline detail, like a V-neck tee, pullover, or gauzy blouse, then reach for outerwear that looks great unzipped for a peekaboo twist. When in doubt, always reach for bold colors and patterns up top to draw attention.

legs for days

You rock shorts in the warm months, but you can still show off your legs in the fall. Try an ankle-length trouser for a leg-lengthening look or skirts that hit above the knee. And for those lazy days, you’ll always look great in leggings.

The key to having great style? Feeling confident in whatever you wear. Your best feature is whatever youdecide it is. Fashion is about wearing what you love and highlighting the features you want to highlight. Just because everyone tells you it’s one thing doesn’t mean you have to dress that way. Perhaps you’re busty and love to show it off—grab a V-neck! Or, you’d prefer to play up your legs—go for it!

Let this guide serve as inspiration, but then take these tips in whatever direction makes you feel best—that’s how you’ll stay fabulously confident all season long.
