This Spring 2019 Collection is one of our brightest yet, offering an array of vibrant hues that are exciting and uplifting. There are many reasons to wear different colors—perhaps blue makes your eyes pop or green goes best with your skin tone. Maybe you feel classiest in all black, or maybe you just want to match the floral pattern on your heels with a canary yellow top. Another thing to consider is how color can affect your mood. Certain colors have been scientifically proven to soothe the mind, promote logical thinking, encourage organization, or just pump you up for your day. As you prep tomorrow’s outfit, think about what your day will entail. Are you going to need your creative wheels spinning? Will you need to Zen-out among busy coworkers? Do you have a big presentation? Are you in search of a little self-esteem pick-me-up? Whatever it is that you need, there’s probably a color that could subconsciously help you accomplish it. This week, we’re looking specifically at blue, orange, purple, red, and yellow. Check out the videos below to learn about each color and how it can affect you!
Think love. Think power. Think Energetic. Red is the color of passion—whether it be romantic or professional. Red is the most stimulating of all the colors. It will increase your strength, energy, and stamina to keep you motivated and working hard.
Wear red when you want to stand out in a crowd; wear red to express an air of authority and power that will allow you to command any room you enter.
Just like the juice, tart and sweet, orange is revitalizing, healing, and uplifting. It will boost your immune system (both if you drink it and wear it!) and promotes the digestive system as well. It’s a confident color chock-full of ambition and determination. It’ll improve your mood and leave you feeling enthusiastic.
Wear orange if you need to organize your room or finish an important task at the office before 5 p.m. Go get ‘em!
Embody the warmth of the sunshine both inside and out when you wear yellow. This optimistic color represents cheerfulness and hope. Yellow promotes alertness and clarity, and it’ll get your muscles firing. Brighten your day with yellow!
Wear yellow when you need to focus or an emotional boost, especially when it comes to decision-making and building up your self-esteem.
Blue possesses many positive and healing qualities. Blue represents honesty and protection and will both calm and soothe you. It slows the breath and encourages a deeper sleep. Blue also inspires learning and encourages analytical thinking.
Wear blue if you have a major decision to make or if you need a creativity boost.
Mix blue and red, and what do you get? Purple. This color represents the perfect blend of what these two colors have to offer. It purifies, soothes, and combats fear and anxiety. This peaceful, restful color will increase your creativity and your sensitivity.
Wear purple if you’re having writer’s block on that proposal due next Friday or if you need to re-center amidst the chaos of life.
